Sales Manager is fully responsible for all commercial operations revenue growth and profitability Plans directs and leads the execution of country regional business strategies and achievement of key performance indicators Provides leadership and ensures the full integration of all in-country sales processes and major initiatives that support the achievement of country regional targets Responsible for driving regional initiatives into the country s business and monitoring and measuring performance against objectives ESSENTIAL DUTIES Develops annual country regional business plan and specific market-focused strategies to grow the business profitably as per agreed commitments Guides the development of market strategies aimed at building brand awareness and customer loyalty Develops and nurtures relationships with key opinion leaders and government officials that influence the Company s image and business activity Engages in developing and leading major strategic sales initiatives and participates selectively in developing negotiating and managing major accounts Identifies opportunities business risks and creates plans to seize those opportunities and mitigate risks Monitors and manages sales expense budgets Depending on the market plays an active role in establishing distributor agreements and managing those relationships Monitors health of distribution channel and optimizes it to customer demand Tracks and monitors competitor activities and devises appropriate strategies to deal with them Ensures timely and accurate reporting on key performance metrics Contributes to completion of special projects as agreed Performs detailed sales analysis customer profiling leading to accurate and effective sales management Leads the sales process by driving sales managers performance leveraging sales market development programmes Models continuous improvement activities for sales function Ensures the appropriate right people and right number resources are allocated based on current revenues and profit and future potential and leads the implementation and follow up of all sales activities Directs and guides the plans activities performance and reporting of staff members across sales organization Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction through management of relationships and sales support Builds relationships and develop loyalty with key customers and decision makers Manages a range of internal business processes including marketing plan implementation support alignment of sales division to marketing plans inventory management support forecasting and MIS including Sales Inventory and Operations Planning SIOP and Key Sales Drivers Ensures proper information management to support effective decision making and actions across the organization Contributes to development of incentive programmes for sales Develops strong teamwork cooperation and loyalty to the organization as a whole through effective leadership Use every opportunity to institutionalize the principles of effective teamwork among the associates Builds critical alliances relationships within the Region as well as outside the organization in support of meeting business objectives Liaises with and guide the sales team to optimize sales opportunities across all areas of the business through effective teamwork and cooperation Involves self personally in selecting developing motivating and retaining a team of highly qualified professionals Undertakes regular talent reviews and succession planning discussions that result in action plans for high potential talent Develops the in-country sales management team s and its members through challenging assignments and formal development experiences MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor s degree in science is required Master s degree in business administration or equivalent is preferred ExperienceAtleast 10 years of experience in Sales preferably in Medical Device manufacturing or related industries Prior experience in management of teams is essential and must have been handling the role of People Manager Leadership Role Skills In line with Terumo BCT Core Leadership
