Area Sales Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our team in Punjab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for our product lines, including hair care, cooking edible oils, spices, and coconut oil. This role requires a strong understanding of the FMCG sector, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management.
Looking after Area of Territory: Punjab, Chandigarh, Hariyana, Himachal Pradesh, J&K
HQ- Amritsar
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market share objectives in the assigned area.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, provide feedback, and share best practices.
- Identify training and development needs for the sales team and facilitate relevant training programs.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers.
- Address customer queries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular visits to key accounts to strengthen relationships and drive sales.
Market Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, trade shows, and events to increase brand visibility and drive sales.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns.
Inventory and Distribution Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
- Oversee the distribution network to ensure broad market coverage and product availability.
Preferred candidate profiles:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of sales experience in FMCG, preferably in edible oil and spices. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the FMCG sector (or closely related sectors).
- Strong understanding of the Raipur market and surrounding regions.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market share growth.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
