Job Overview We are urgently hiring experienced South Indian Cook and Kitchen Helper for a well-established restaurant in Singapore. This is a direct recruitment process with no agent involvement. The South Indian Cook will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian dishes such as idli, dosa, vada, sambhar, rasam, biryani, parotta, curries, chutneys, and other traditional items. The Kitchen Helper will support the chef in cooking, cutting, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.Key ResponsibilitiesFor South Indian Cook (All-Rounder): Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes including breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes. Manage the kitchen workflow efficiently to handle bulk orders. Plan and maintain the daily menu based on customer demand. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and request supplies when needed. Ensure strict hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen. Supervise and guide kitchen helpers for smooth kitchen operations. Follow restaurant recipes and food preparation procedures. Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in good working condition.For Kitchen Helper: Assist the chef in basic food preparation, cutting, chopping, and washing vegetables. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, storage, and dining areas. Help in serving food, plating dishes, and organizing ingredients. Wash dishes, cooking tools, and equipment after use. Follow all kitchen hygiene and safety protocols. Support the cook during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.Required Skills & CompetenciesFor South Indian Cook: Proven experience as a South Indian Cook / Chef / All-Rounder in restaurants, hotels, or catering. In-depth knowledge of South Indian breakfast, tiffin, lunch, and dinner items. Ability to manage multiple orders in a fast-paced kitchen. Good time management and multi-tasking skills. Basic knowledge of food safety, storage, and hygiene practices. For Kitchen Helper: Basic knowledge of South Indian food preparation is preferred. Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure. Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
