Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Collection Manager to lead and optimize our collections operations within the fintech lending domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing high-performing tele-collections teams, implementing strategic collection frameworks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in minimizing portfolio delinquencies, improving recovery rates, and ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the repayment journey. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the tele-collections and field collections teams to achieve monthly and quarterly recovery targets. - Design and implement collection strategies to improve recovery efficiency and reduce delinquencies. - Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reporting and insights to management. - Coach, mentor, and train team members to enhance productivity and adherence to policies. - Handle high-value, escalated, or complex cases to ensure timely resolution. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Risk, Product, and Operations) to refine collection processes and customer communication strategies. - Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including adherence to fair collection practices and data privacy norms. - Identify opportunities for automation and digital tools to enhance collection efficiency. Qualifications & Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred). - 5+ years of experience in collections, recovery, or credit control, preferably in a fintech, NBFC, or digital lending environment. - Proven track record of managing large tele-collections teams and meeting recovery targets. - Strong understanding of digital lending operations, delinquency buckets, and skip tracing methods. - Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. - In-depth knowledge of collections-related legal and regulatory frameworks. - Proficiency in using CRM tools, dialer systems, and MIS reporting tools.
