Job Description: Sales Manager - Wallpaper (South India)

Position Title: Sales Manager - Wallpaper

Location: Chennai/Bangalore/Coimbatore

Reports to: Director sales

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager for our Wallpaper Division in South India. The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and appointing distributors in the paint and home decor sector, while promoting our range of high-quality wallpapers. This role will require a strong understanding of the regional market dynamics, ability to build relationships, and a passion for driving sales growth within the interior design and home improvement industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Distributor Appointment & Management:

- Identify and appoint distributors for wallpapers in the paint and home decor sector across South India.
- Develop strong relationships with key distributors and ensure their effective performance.
- Monitor and evaluate distributor performance through regular visits, reviews, and meetings.

1. Sales & Promotion:

- Drive sales growth by promoting wallpaper products to distributors, retail partners, and end customers.
- Ensure that distributors have the necessary sales tools and support to effectively promote wallpaper products.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional strategies and campaigns tailored to the South Indian market.

1. Market Expansion:

- Identify new market opportunities within South India and work towards expanding the brand's presence in untapped regions.
- Conduct market research to understand customer preferences and competitor activity, adjusting strategies accordingly.

1. Sales Targets:

- Set and achieve sales targets for wallpaper products in assigned regions.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts and reports to senior management on a regular basis.

1. Customer Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the paint and home decor industry.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective after-sales support and engagement.

1. Product Knowledge:

- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company's wallpaper products, features, and market trends to effectively present and sell the products to potential distributors and customers.

1. Training & Development:

- Train and mentor the distributor's sales teams on product features, selling techniques, and market trends to ensure successful product promotion.

1. Collaboration:

- Work closely with the marketing, product development, and logistics teams to ensure that promotional activities are aligned with market demand and supply capabilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on home decor, wallpapers, paints, or related industries.
- Proven experience in distributor appointment and management in the South Indian market.
- Strong understanding of the wallpaper and interior decor industry, preferably with experience in the paint sector.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel extensively across South India.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
