**Job Description**:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our culinary team as a North Indian Chef Helper at Karim's. As a North Indian Chef Helper, you will work closely with our skilled chefs to assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic North Indian dishes. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about Indian cuisine and eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the North Indian chef in preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and grinding spices.
- Support the chef in cooking a variety of North Indian dishes, following recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing and sanitizing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Assist in the setup and organization of the kitchen line, ensuring all necessary ingredients and equipment are readily available for cooking.
- Monitor food temperatures and cooking times under the guidance of the chef to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
- Assist in plating dishes and garnishing them with herbs, sauces, and other accompaniments as directed by the chef.
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely service during peak hours.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use of protective equipment and safe handling of kitchen tools.
- Assist in inventory management tasks, such as checking stock levels, rotating ingredients, and notifying the chef of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of North Indian cuisine.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen management to support the overall operation of the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Passion for Indian cuisine and eagerness to learn about North Indian cooking techniques and flavors.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from the chef and kitchen supervisors.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting heavy pots, standing for extended periods, and working in a hot kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as part of a dynamic culinary team.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
