JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager (Export - Steel Fabricated Products)

POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in expanding into global markets. This role is critical in driving our international sales of steel fabricated products. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the export market, particularly within the steel or manufacturing sector. They will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, building robust client relationships, and significantly contributing to our company's growth in export sales.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Identify Export Opportunities: Proactively identify and pursue potential clients and business opportunities in international markets for our steel fabricated products.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients, distributors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders across the global market.
  • Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and implement targeted sales strategies that align with company goals and drive market expansion in key regions.
  • Product Portfolio Management: Work closely with our production teams (fabrication, laser cutting, bending, and powder coating) to ensure that product offerings meet global market demands.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand international trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth and product development.
  • Compliance & Export Operations: Ensure all export operations comply with international trade laws, regulations, and standards, including tariffs and logistics.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Lead negotiations and manage contracts with international clients, suppliers, and logistics partners to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Regional Market Penetration: Drive the penetration of our products in targeted regions by adapting sales and marketing strategies to regional cultural and economic contexts.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required; an MBA is highly desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of business development experience, with a proven track record in the steel fabrication or manufacturing industry.
  • Export Expertise: Strong understanding of global market dynamics, international trade regulations, and the specific challenges of exporting steel fabricated products.
  • Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to drive business growth through effective sales strategies and client relationship management.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex international markets.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be willing and able to travel internationally as needed.
