About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and database technologies, and a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a production environment.

This role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global team environment.

Responsibilities :

- Provide application support for critical applications, including incident management, problem resolution, and change management.

- Collaborate with development teams, business users, and other stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.

- Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues.

- Ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs for supported applications.

- Participate in on-call rotations, including regional (APAC and EMEA) shifts and weekend coverage.

- Leverage Splunk to analyze application logs, create alerts, and dashboards for monitoring system health.

- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience in application support, with a strong focus on Java and database technologies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with Splunk or similar log analysis tools.

- Familiarity with ITIL incident management processes.

- Ability to work in a global team environment and adapt to different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in a support role for large-scale, enterprise applications.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.)

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
