Academic Counsellor – consultative counselling role, not a core sales job

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic Academic Counsellor to guide students in making informed decisions about their education and career. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a student-first approach, and the ability to match students' aspirations with our educational programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel students on educational opportunities, admission processes, and career pathways.
  • Understand students' needs and recommend suitable programs.
  • Handle walk-ins, inquiries, calls, and online leads effectively.
  • Maintain proper records of counselling sessions and follow-ups in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate with the admissions and academic teams to ensure smooth onboarding of students.
  • Achieve monthly counselling and enrollment targets.
  • Conduct orientation sessions, seminars, and workshops for prospective students as required.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Education, Psychology, Management, or related field preferred).
  • Prior experience in counselling, admissions, or student advisory roles (preferred, but freshers with excellent communication skills are also welcome).
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with students and parents.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools is an added advantage.
