This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of how government bodies operate and who has existing relationships within this sector, particularly with organizations like CPWD and those operating on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform.
Intent of the Role :
The primary objective is to drive sales within government projects and bodies, leveraging your experience and relationships to secure contracts and ensure our solutions meet government standards and regulations. Your focus will be on selling high-end lighting solutions to government entities, ensuring a smooth sales process and compliance with all necessary protocols.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Leadership : Lead sales efforts in the NCR region and across India, targeting government bodies and projects, with a focus on CPWD and similar entities.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building : Leverage existing relationships with government bodies to drive sales. Actively engage with decision-makers to understand their requirements and deliver tailored lighting solutions.
Government e-Marketplace (GeM) : Manage and expand our presence on GeM, ensuring our products are well-positioned to meet government procurement needs.
Market Expansion : Develop strategies to increase our footprint within government projects, positioning the company as a key provider of luxury lighting to government bodies.
Industry Knowledge : Stay informed about procurement processes, government policies, and the overall functioning of government bodies to better align sales efforts with client requirements.
Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams to ensure that all government projects meet compliance standards and are executed smoothly.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 4-10 years of experience in sales, specifically selling to government bodies or on government projects.
Existing relationships with key government bodies like CPWD and familiarity with their procurement processes.
Strong experience working with the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform.
Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
Deep understanding of how government bodies operate and a proven track record in closing deals within this sector.
