Job Role

The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence for the Drives and Automation product line within the assigned territory. The role focuses on business development, customer satisfaction, and reinforcing the companys position as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Conversion

  • Identify and qualify prospective customers for AC Drives, PLCs, and HMI products.
  • Generate, track, and follow up on leads through field visits, industry events, and digital platforms.
  • Understand customer applications and technical requirements to design appropriate automation solutions.
  • Develop customized proposals and convert leads into successful sales orders.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with OEMs, end-users, system integrators, and channel partners.
  • Act as the single point of contact for customer queries, ensuring timely resolution and high satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure continuous engagement and identify upselling opportunities.

3. Technical Support

  • Provide pre-sales support including technical presentations, product selection, and application feasibility.
  • Assist with system integration planning and provide post-sales support such as installation guidance and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely resolution of technical complaints and maintain product performance.

4. Market Intelligence

  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies within the AC Drives, PLCs, and HMI domain.
  • Identify gaps in the market and contribute insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Share customer feedback and market data with product and marketing teams to support portfolio refinement.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Support to ensure alignment on customer needs.
  • Support new product launches and promotional campaigns in the assigned territory.
  • Provide inputs for training programs and technical documentation based on field insights.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

BE / B.Tech in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications (or equivalent).

Experience:

  • 5+ years in in sales, preferably within related sectors

Industry Exposure:

  • Experience with AC Drives, PLCs, and HMIs is highly desirable

Key Competencies:

  • Proven sales and negotiation abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Technical knowledge of automation products and applications
  • Ability to build and sustain dealer, customer, and internal relationships
  • Strong market analysis and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
