About the role

In this role, you will advise a diverse range of clients within the social sector including CSR teams, foundations, and other funding organizations. The role requires acumen to analyze complex problems, manage diverse stakeholders, and deliver solutions that drive meaningful change. You will get an opportunity to work on challenging projects and identify value-creation opportunities through social development initiatives, helping our clients translate strategic objectives into actionable solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the consulting engagement end to end, from pre-sales to requirement gathering to solution design and implementation.
  • Drive extensive research to help with solution design. Research could include landscaping studies, primary surveys, executive interviews, literature surveys and more.
  • Apply appropriate frameworks and methodologies to assess the problem statement, and recommend relevant solutions.
  • Lead engagement delivery including project planning, day to day management, engagement with key stakeholders and executive presentations.
  • Contribute to ongoing development of thought leadership content through creation of reports, articles, podcasts etc.
  • Track trends and opportunities in the social development landscape in India and globally on an ongoing basis and be an active contributor to identify future growth opportunities for Give Grants.
  • Over time, develop depth of knowledge and expertise within specific sub-verticals of the development landscape
  • Actively contribute to pre-sales efforts by engaging with potential clients, developing high quality collateral and building proposals and pitches.


Requirements

  • 7+ years of overall experience, with at least 4 years of consulting experience within well recognized firms. Experience in strategy consulting, operations consulting and program management is relevant. Experience in the social sector as well as in the larger business sector are both equally relevant.
  • Demonstrated history of career growth with past employers, with exposure to multiple sectors within or outside the development space
  • Prior experience in development consulting (health, education, livelihoods, climate action, government engagement etc) would be preferred, but is not essential
  • Top tier storytelling and presentation skills, backed by strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong data analysis capabilities including high proficiency in excel / google sheets, comfort with data visualization tools (powerBI / data studio), and familiarity with simple statistical analysis
  • Strong research and analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment and deliver within tight timelines, with a strong commitment to ethical practices, social justice, and advancing positive social outcomes.
  • Willingness to work in a startup environment and the dynamic nature of a 0-to-1 journey
