Job Role: National Sales Manager - Pharmaeceuticals Sales

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Need to regularly visit hospitals (institutions) on behalf of our clients/suppliers in order to keep smooth line of channel b/w the customer and the supplier.
  • Adept with the procurement procedure of the institutions and a rigorous follow up on the various business opportunities from concerned departments.
  • Keep the back-end office team informed on the upcoming tenders and working to reduce the time-frame of getting the sales recognized at the earliest.
  • Responsible for providing minimum technical support to customer who purchase our manufacturer's products.
  • In-depth knowledge of complex products, technology & solutions that helps the organization to identify clients needs, sometimes even before the client is aware of them and pitching the same to them.
  • Facilitating a meeting b/w the customer (Hospitals) and the Clients (OEM) from time to time and ensuring to technically pursue the prospective customers for the benefits of our products, how the products are useful & why the products out-perform the competitors
  • During the transaction and post-sales, the role is to address any concerns or implementation glitches at customer end and try to get the fixed by informing the concerned OEM or by escalating the issue with upper management
  • Once the supply and installation is complete, follow up on the payments from the concerned authorities.

Key Performance Indicators

  • A fixed territory along with fixed number of suppliers will be assigned to you with 'X' Sales value in an year. Performance will be assessed basis achievement of the number given at the start of the year. (Revenue Generation)
  • Timely Supplies without any LD charges to the company. Need to control it to less that 5% in an entire year. (Efficiency of supplies)
  • Timely Payments within 60 days of supply. (10% of deviation in this case will be acceptable on performance) (Revenue Realization)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience and exposure in the area of Pharmaeceuticals sales is must
  • Experience in government institutional sales is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written English and Local Language skills
  • Ability to forge strong interpersonal relationships.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in field of Bio-Sciences, i.e. biomedical science/ Bio-medical engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Radiography or any discipline of Science (Medical)
  • MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred
  • All attained certifications must be maintained and current
  • One must have experience in pharmaceuticals sales in government institutions (Army, AIIMS, States Corporation)
