Job Accountabilities



  • Support the commercialization of several R&D initiatives cutting across domains like Petrochemicals, Refining, New materials, Bio-fuels/Alternate energy, Synthetic biology etc.
  • Conduct detailed external market analysis for R&D developed products and process technologies and create robust strategies/business plans for execution/management approvals.
  • Identify the opportunities to monetize R&D developed technologies.
  • Design, negotiate and execute collaboration/licensing term-sheets/agreements.
  • Identify and onboard external collaborators/partners to reduce the cycle time of commercialization of R&D initiatives.
  • Evaluate the existing R&D project portfolio and develop valuation methodologies for R&D projects.
  • Establish & ensure coordination and alignment with relevant stakeholders.
  • Create sustainable capabilities for strengthening the R&D business development initiatives/processes.


Skills & Competencies



  • Passionate and highly motivated individuals to work in Business development function at R&D.
  • A Self-starter with ability to deliver time bound results under minimum supervision.
  • Conducting techno-commercial analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Market size estimations, industry analysis and business plan generation.
  • Ability to create cost structures and financial models.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and other MS office tools, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of networking both internally and externally.
  • Working with cross functional teams.


Education Required :



  • Management qualification + Engineering (Preferably Chemical)
  • 2 to 5 years (Relevant experience in business analysis/strategy/consulting/market research etc.)
