The role emphasizesdata-driven decision-making,impact measurement,team leadership, andcross-functional collaboration. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s evidence-based approach, ensuring high-quality data systems, impactful reporting, and insights that drive innovation, donor confidence, and program excellence.Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategy & Framework Development Lead the design and implementation of M&E strategies, frameworks, and systems across projects and verticals. Developlogical frameworks, results frameworks, KPIs, and Theories of Changealigned with program goals. Ensure alignment of M&E systems withdonor requirements, organizational impact metrics,and on-ground realities. Foster an environment ofevidence-based decision-making and adaptive learningacross teams. 2. Research, Evaluation & Insights Design and managebaseline, midline, endline, and impact evaluations. Conduct and synthesizesecondary researchto strengthen program strategy and design. Ensure high-quality data collection, validation, and analysis through internal teams or external agencies. Translate M&E data intoinsightsfor advocacy, fundraising, and program refinement. 3. Capacity Building & Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the M&E team, fostering a culture of learning and accountability. Build the capacity ofproject teams and partner agencieson M&E tools and best practices. Promote organization-wide understanding and ownership of M&E processes. 4. Data Management & Reporting Establish and managecentralized, technology-enabled MIS systemsfor real-time monitoring. Create and disseminatedashboards, analytical reports, and data visualizationsfor diverse stakeholders. Maintain arepositoryof M&E frameworks, tools, datasets, and field documentation. 5. Field Support & Quality Assurance Conduct regularfield visitsto monitor progress, validate data, and ensure adherence to M&E standards. Support program teams ininterpreting datafor timely course correction and improved outcomes. Provide hands-on guidance forquality assurancein implementation and reporting. 6. Stakeholder Engagement Supportresource mobilization effortsby contributing data-driven insights to proposals and donor reports. Represent UWBe at internal reviews, donor meetings, and external forums with evidence-backed presentations. Collaborate withgovernment and technical partnersto strengthen sectoral monitoring practices. 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely withvertical leadsto design M&E systems tailored to each thematic area. Partner withCommunications, Partnerships, and Finance teamsto integrate data for storytelling, compliance, and reporting.Required Skills & Competencies: Proven expertise inM&E strategy, research design, and statistical analysis. Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and presentation skills. Demonstrated experience inCSR, development, or nonprofitsettings. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and field teams across regions. Proficiency inExcel, Power BI/Tableau, SPSS/STATA/R,and data collection platforms (ODK, Kobo, SurveyCTO).Qualifications: Graduate/Postgraduate inDevelopment Studies, Public Policy, Statistics, Economics, or related disciplines. 15+ yearsof relevant experience, with at least10 years in core M&E leadership roles(preferably in CSR or nonprofit sectors). Fluency inEnglish and Hindi; proficiency inKannadapreferred.
