To achieve our ambitious growth goals, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Specialist to lead our efforts in acquiring high-value software development projects.


Key Responsibilities:


1.New Project Acquisition:

•Identify and target prospective clients in need of software development, SaaS solutions, or IT consulting services.

•Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities for software project acquisitions.

•Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of leads using CRM tools, networking, and partnerships.


2.Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

•Establish and nurture relationships with decision-makers (CXOs, Product Owners, Project Managers) in client organizations.

•Understand client requirements, pain points, and business objectives to propose tailored software solutions.

•Act as a liaison between clients and technical teams to ensure seamless communication.


3.Strategic Sales Initiatives:

•Create and implement strategies to generate software project leads in target verticals such as [healthcare, fintech, e-commerce, etc.].

•Develop go-to-market strategies for launching new service offerings and penetrating untapped markets.


4.Proposal Development and Presentation:

•Collaborate with technical teams to create compelling proposals, bids, and presentations.

•Lead the preparation of RFPs, RFQs, and SOWs (Statements of Work).

•Present proposals to clients, negotiate terms, and close deals.


5.Collaboration with Internal Teams:

•Work closely with product managers, delivery teams, and engineering leads to align client expectations with execution capabilities.

•Provide input on solution design and delivery timelines.


6.Performance Tracking and Reporting:

•Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including lead generation, project acquisition rates, and revenue growth.

•Use analytics to refine sales strategies and achieve better outcomes.


Qualifications:


Education:

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

•MBA or equivalent experience in technology sales is a plus.


Experience:

•5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the software or IT services industry.

•Proven track record of acquiring software development projects or managing large client accounts.


Skills and Expertise:

•Deep understanding of software development processes, technologies, and industry trends cloud computing, AI, DevOps, mobile apps.

•Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.

•Expertise in CRM tools like HubSpot and business analytics.

•Excellent communication and presentation skills.


Behavioral Traits:

•Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

•Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and technical terminologies.

•Understanding of project estimation and pricing models in software development.
