Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Medical Consumables

Location: Mumbai | Extensive domestic and international travel required

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to build, lead, and scale the new sterile consumables business from inception. The CEO will work closely with the promoters to shape the business model, define the product portfolio, establish supply chain and sales channels, while drive profitable growth in both domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership


• Work with promoters to identify market gaps and finalize the initial sterile consumables

(e.g., IV sets, catheters, syringes, surgical drapes, wound care, etc.).


• Develop and implement a comprehensive market entry strategy, beginning with

trading/distribution.


• Guide the strategic roadmap for export development and potential manufacturing

setup.

Sales & Market Development


• Build strong relationships with hospital procurement heads, group purchasing

organizations and institutional buyers.


• Build and scale a nationwide distribution and dealer network.


• Lead tender participation strategies for both private and government sectors.


• Explore and develop international business opportunities, ensuring compliance with

global regulatory standards (e.g., CE Mark, US FDA wherever applicable)

Team & Organizational Leadership


• Recruit and lead a high-performing sales, operations, and supply chain team.


• Create a results-driven, customer-focused and agile organizational culture.

Financial & Operational Management


• Own full P&L responsibility, ensuring profitable and scalable operations.


• Oversee financial planning, cash flow, sales forecasting, supply chain operations and

regulatory compliance.

Future Manufacturing Strategy


• Evaluate feasibility and timing of setting up in-house manufacturing facilities as business

and export volumes scale.


• Assess potential partnerships, technology platforms and cost structures for long-term

manufacturing strategy.

Ideal Candidate Profile


• 15+ years of leadership experience specifically in sterile medical consumables (not


• general medical devices)


• Proven Track record in building and scaling institution-focused consumables businesses

in India and/or international markets.


• Extensive network with hospital chains, institutional buyers, GPOs, and export

customers.


• Strong experience in P&L ownership and operational leadership.


• Exposure to trading/distribution business models; familiarity with OEM/private label

partnerships.


• Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on execution capability.


• Experience in evaluating or managing sterile consumables manufacturing setups will be

a strong advantage.


• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and leadership skills.
