  2. Professional & Educational Qualification:
  • GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing.
  • Valid State Registration in India if not from Maharashtra Nursing Council

3.Desirable Certification:

  • Preferred Certification in Critical Care Nursing / Nursing Administration.
  • Preferably Valid certification in Basic & Advanced Life Support / Basic Trauma Life Support
  • Evidence of participation in various programs & update & maintain current professional knowledge & clinical skills.
  1. Professional Experience:
  • Total 7 years of experience in the area of specialization
  • Should be well versed in written & verbal languages – English, Hindi & Marathi.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft office – word, excel, power point & email communication.

5.Core Job Responsibilities

  • To provide Nursing leadership, management and direction in regards to setting and maintaining quality standards, staff development and resource management in the daily operation of the unit.
  • To maintain adequate nurse patient ratio & should be well versed in contingency & disaster management plans of the organization.
  • To recognize legal implications and responsibility in practice of nursing
  • To be able to resolve issues arising from customer / staff dissatisfaction, conflict resolution to the utmost outcome as desired.
  • To be skilled in handling all clinical procedures, pathways & codes arising in the department
  • To maintain administrative records pertaining to Specialty based Admission & Discharge Census, Outpatient Consultations, Transfer of patient, & any other as per state government & NMC guidelines & as required by the administration.

6.Specific Core Skills

  • General Assessment & Reassessment of adult patients
  • Risk assessment & mitigation of risk e.g. Falls, Pressure Ulcers, Medication errors, accidental removal of lines & tubes etc.
  • Inter departmental Processes – Admission, Discharge, Transfer within & outside hospital etc.
  • Inventory Management – Indent, Storage & Consumption of drugs & consumables
  • Management of high alert medications & Narcotics
  • Adherence to Infection Control Policies & Biomedical waste segregation
  • Handling of Biomedical Equipment & asset tracking
  • Well versed with all clinical procedures done in Inpatient areas
  • Competent to identify & handle medical emergencies – skilled in providing BLS, ACLS, PALS etc.
