1 Scope of Service: Clinical & Administrative services – Emergency ICU & Obstetric ICU

2 Professional & Educational Qualification:

  • GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing.
  • Valid State Registration in India if not from Maharashtra Nursing Council

3 Desirable Certification:

  • Preferred Certification in Paediatric & Neonatal Nursing / Nursing Administration.
  • Preferably Valid certification in NALS / PALS /Basic & Advanced Life Support
  • Evidence of participation in various programs & update & maintain current professional knowledge & clinical skills

4 Professional Experience:

  • Total 7 years of experience in the area of specialization
  • Should be well versed in written & verbal languages – English, Hindi & Marathi.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft office – word, excel, power point & email communication

5 Core Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide Nursing leadership, management and direction in regards to setting and maintaining quality standards, staff development and resource management in the daily operation of the unit.
  • To maintain adequate nurse patient ratio & should be well versed in contingency & disaster management plans of the organization.
  • To recognize legal implications and responsibility in practice of nursing
  • To be able to resolve issues arising from customer / staff dissatisfaction, conflict resolution to the utmost outcome as desired.
  • To be skilled in handling all clinical procedures, pathways & codes arising in the department
  • To maintain administrative records pertaining to specific units e.g. Immunization records, Communicable diseases & all other documents as per state government & NMC guidelines & as required by the administration.

6 Specific Core Skills:

  • Age specific competencies in assessment of the child – Neonate, Infant, Preschool & School
  • Awareness of National Immunization Program & competency in administration of vaccines & other drugs
  • Care of Premature baby – Respiratory, Nutritional, Thermal etc.
  • Management of Small for Date & Malnourished babies
  • Care of New-born baby, guidance & counselling for breast feeding
  • Assisting for clinical Procedures – Umbilical Catheterization, Exchange blood transfusion, Surfactant therapy, Phototherapy, Oxygen administration via different modes etc.
  • Emergency management – Neonatal Resuscitation, Paediatric advanced life support, BLS, ACLS.
  • Awareness regarding drugs & dosages based on age & weight, preparation of admixtures & infusions.
  • Prevention of child abduction & management of code Pink.
  • Risk assessment & Management of paediatric & neonatal Medical & Surgical cases & its complications
