Job Title: Bid Manager - Pre Sales

Designation: Senior Manager

Reports to: Head Solutions

Location: Pune/Bangalore/Gurgaon/Mumbai


Position Summary:

We are looking for a bid manager and technical writer to innovate compelling depictions of solutions. This role will work closely with our Sales Leaders and Executive Management leadership to oversee large bids and write compelling responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), ensuring our brand is well represented in a rapidly evolving business-to-business sales environment.

This is an Individual Contributor role which requires the candidate to demonstrate self-drive, ownership, hands on approach, multi-tasking ability, detail orientation, proactive communication and excellent stakeholder management skills & competencies.


B. Pre-requisite for the role

Essential Qualification and Work Experience:

1. Graduate from a reputed institution

2. Sound Experience of large bid management in Banking & Financial Services for a leading BPS firm

3. Overall 10 years+ of work experience in mix of International BPO and / or consulting environment

4. At least 2-3 years in Bid Management & Pre Sales

5. Excellent Written, Oral Communication and analytical skills

6. Excellent command on MS office tools like PowerPoint, Excel & Word

7. Complex & fast paced sprint management

Preferred Qualification:

1. MBA from reputed business school

3. Operations management experience in BFS BPO will be an added advantage

Technical Skills:

1. Strong presentation making skills

2. Good understanding of financial models, Profit & Loss and operation metrics

3. Ability to research abstract information to identify trends, POVs and create white papers


C. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned)


1. Work in a diverse, highly collaborative environment that values creativity and quality

2. Serve as Lead Writer in developing compelling proposals to solve client problems through our broad range of services, tools, and processes.

3. End-to-end management of bids, including development of custom content, writing, editing, researching, analyzing, and resolving issues through every stage of the proposal process.

4. Read and interpret solicitation documents (RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs) to identify critical content items required for a compliant response

5. Create compliance matrices and proposal templates to provide clear instruction on required artifacts

6. Refine value propositions, solution depictions, and help pinpoint unique selling points

7. Partner with executives to drive team in solution development and persuasive depiction

8. Support the alignment of enterprise objectives and initiatives across proposal response.

9. Work with key Subject Matter Experts and members of the bid project team to compile the bid, identify functional requirements, assess risks, drive solutions, and enable business functionality.

10. Coordinate proposal strategy meetings. Coordinate development of proposal input from contributors; writing and editing proposal text; conceptualizing graphics

11. Manage the pursuits mailbox and ensure prompt allocation of new pursuits in consultation with the Solutions Head

12. Ensure timely submission of RFX and client proposals.

13. Publish weekly dashboards covering utilization and pursuits activity

14. Identify trends to help understand what’s working and what’s not in regards to bid management and pursuits
