Are you ready to apply your risk and compliance expertise to Amazon's unique environment? We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated Third Party Risk Management expertise who will play a key role in building out new exciting programs across Amazon’s different organizations. The Sr. Risk Manager will accelerate a broad TPRM framework, drive risk assessments, escalation, and mitigation strategies for third party risk in our regulated payments entities. The Sr. Risk Manager will be responsible for leading the second line third party risk management program for our regulated entities, including oversight of first line operations related to vendor/outsourcing management. To include (amongst other responsibilities): participation in program strategy setting; policy and other governance document maintenance and annual refresh; reporting to governing bodies; facilitation of key risk indicators; developing effective monitoring mechanisms.

The role is vital to ensure we comply with local and global legal and compliance requirements and manage third party liabilities. Key job responsibilities
•Provide independent second-line oversight and challenge relating to the identification, assessment, control, review and reporting of risks effecting the business objectives of the organizations
•Support the development and maintenance of policy in relation to Third Party Risk Management
•Provide direction, advice and independent challenge to third party management teams and senior management
•Work closely with the relevant business owners, legal, and third party management teams to ensure third party risks are considered and managed during onboarding and monitored at appropriate points of the overall lifecycle
•Understand the applicability of appropriate legislation and regulations
•Partner with colleagues in Compliance to support alignment and governance
•Develop detailed, data driven narratives to inform leadership/Board members of risk levels, mitigations, and impacts
•Understand business processes and controls and oversee appropriate partners to identify root cause of issues
•Identify, track, and report key risk and performance indicators using data
•Coach non-risk professionals on key elements on Third Party Risk Management best practice
•Manage several projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency
•Provide support/ownership for other 2LoD Risk programs and initiatives as required

A day in the life
Working on a global risk team, you'll be expected to maintain CET hours to collaborate with colleagues in EU, UK, MEA, AMER, APAC. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree or equivalent
- 6+ years experience in risk management, with 2+ years direct experience in third party risk management
