The Head of ProductDevelopment and Systems is a crucial role within acompany responsible for developing and managing the productstrategy and vision guided by a system applicationunderstanding.To help us continue expandingour products we are in search of an experiencedProductDevelopment and System Manager tolead multidisciplinary and cross continentalteam.
Totalexperience appx. 15 or more years in which leading role at leastmore than5years ismandatory
Hereare the key responsibilities and requirements for thisrole:
Responsibilities:1.Product Strategy and Vision:oDevise a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company sgoals and longtermobjectives.o Drive theexecution of all processes in the product development cycle (NPD)planningpositioningrequirements and road mapdevelopment.o Translateproduct strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping andfinaldevelopment by engineeringteams.o Create product strategy documentsthat describe technical requirements.oIdentify unique selling points (USPs) for the product todifferentiate it from competitors.o Developand maintain a strategic road map for products including featureenhancementnew releases andinnovation.2.Leadership:o Manage mentor andlead various teams to realize new product developments inTimeCost andQuality.o Translating the companys visionand customers market requirements toactionableproduct strategies ensuring thatthe product team is working towardscommonobjectives.oManaging resources effectively to support product developmentinitiatives includingbudgeting andallocation of personnel and tools.o Settingclear performance metrics for the product management team andensuring thatthese align with the overallproduct strategy and companygoals.3. Communication andCollaboration:o Communicate theproduct s vision to stakeholders through vision statementsproductroadmaps user research andinsights.o Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams (project management salesmarketingProduction) to oversee the productdevelopment process from requirements todelivery.o Coordinate with product owners tostay updated on project progress risksresourceallocation budgets andtimelines.
4.System Integration andOptimization:o Collaborate withengineering teams to design robust and efficient systems thatintegrateseamlessly with othercomponents.o Continuously improve systemperformance efficiency and reliability throughdesignenhancements and firmwareupdates.o Ensure rigorous testing andvalidation of systems to meet safety reliabilityandperformancestandards.5. TechnicalExpertise:oDeep understanding of VFD principlesincluding control algorithmsmodulationtechniques(e.g. PWM) and motor controltheory.o Proficiency in powerelectronics application areas.o Familiaritywith embedded systems microcontrollers and programminglanguages
Requirements:1.Qualification:oBachelor s/master s degree in engineering Electronics ElectricalEngineering or arelatedfield.o Strong understandingof VFD for various applications e.g. Industrial Electric Vehicleand powerelectronics.
2.Skills and Experience:o Strongexperience in a dynamic product development role for powerelectronics productso High effectiveness inmanaging crossfunctional cross continentalteams.o Lean/Agile developmentcycle.o Experience in VariableFrequency Drive is a plus for Electric Vehicle/Automotiveapplication.oExceptional writing and editing skills combined with strongpresentation and publicspeakingskills.o Ability to work independently andas part of ateam.
