Senior Membership Coordinator and Supply Chain

Your Role and Responsibilities
General and team management Develop annualand 3year work plans for regional membership activities inIndia
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka (regional scope) as wellas other assigned regions globally
(EU UK Middle East)and coordinate implementation of plans in acomprehensive
manner under direct supervision andalignment with the India Country Director and the
Director M≻ the latter scope is largely onlineworks
Lead forward and resource planning for regionalmembershipfocused programmes
Provide line management forassigned M&SC staff in India (currently
1 MembershipOfficer and 2 Helpdesk Assistants) including supporting theircareer
development training opportunities and providingregular feedback on performance
againstobjectives
Maintain strong and effective communicationswith the BCI Secretariat BCI
Members in all categoriesand support regional by establishing key relationships
needed to support BCIs 2030 strategy
Attend internalmeetings to report on activities and facilitate the exchangeof

Regional Keep up to date with significantrelevant developments in the cotton sector in India
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and report regularly on issues regardingpricing premiums
and any other supply chain issuesrelated to Better Cotton.
Work seamlessly with regionalSupply Chain Manager to support the implementation
ofthe Better Cotton Chain of Custody by building demand (membershiprecruitment
onboarding and engagement) and fosteringuptake strategically within key accounts
i.e. theaccounts adopt Better Cotton and as its major source of rawmaterial
Identify and participate in fora focussed ontransformation to sustainability to
represent BCI andkeep BCI informed of key development
Travel is expectedfor up to 25% of time under normal circumstancesMember and Supply Chain Training Taking general direction from the central M&SC AnnualOperations Plan core
processes and activities and theCountry Director support the regional M&SC Team in
developing training and communications material including eventcontent design
establishing excellence inexecution.
Oversee the development and rollout ofeffective and scalable training programs
(online andinperson) for all stakeholders in scope of the BCI Programmeregionally
and assigned countries globally
Incollaboration with the India Country direction and members supportthe
development of retailer and brand and key supplierand manufacturer strategies to
increase their sourcingof Better Cotton
Ensure that members have a criticalmass of staff supporting BCI
Ensure that they areadopting a raw material strategy
With Supply ChainManager identify solutions to address common sourcing
bottlenecks
Engage peer RB Member for a to discusscommon issues in the region MemberRecruitment and Retention Develop regionalmembership outreach and recruitment plan for Retailers andBrands
Suppliers and Manufacturers Civil Societyorganisations and Producer Organisations
in line withthe organisational strategy. The aim is a strategic adoption of BCIfor
mutual benefit and supporting farmers transition toBetter Cotton within member
organisations.
Recruit for retention; BCI adoption is not opportunistic butrequires a strategic
investment by prospects not just inmonetary terms. Membership Service Deliveryand Retention Oversee excellence indelivery of key services to members including ensuringgood
response time delivery of membership benefitsensure optimal engagement with BCI
Members linked to theregion through their supply chains

Oversee member renewal and other membershipcommunications
Ensure adequate feedback to BCI HQ on anyspecific member management issues
arising so that it canbe taken into account in planning for system updates.Member Engagement Events Communications andMaterials Create opportunities fornurturing strong stakeholder dialogue with all categoriesof
regional members and stakeholders in BCI
Be accountable for the overall content design and delivery ofmember events in the
region in collaboration with theCountry Director and in alignment with the Global
Membership Team seeking to innovate and establish unique engagementof
stakeholders with BCI
Ensure that allmaterial needs are communicated and developed in alignmentwith
Global Membership and CommunicationsTeams
Contribute to and disseminate key communicationsin alignment with the Global
Membership TeamHelpdesk Services BCI has made amediumterm strategic choice to maintain an internal Helpdeskfor
support of global enquiries the Senior MembershipCoordinator leads the operational
management andcontinued development of this effort to deliver timely servicesto
stakeholders supported by back up from peer in thePakistan Team
Support development of a Helpdesk Strategyto position BCI to meet its 2030 missionFinancial Accountability and Systems Deliver annual membership income targets for the region(Renewal New Member
Income)
Overseereconciliation of regional member income with Finance Department toensure
that Membership and Finance reporting ofmembership income is consistent
Finance/ Budgets(preparing budgets & forecasts for India Supply Chaincontracting
and negotiation as required
Tocontribute in preparation of annual budget especially for theactivities directly
related to Supply Chain.
To ensure that expenditures are within the allocated budget andfinancial resources
are effectively used and associatedreporting on the budget is timely done.Account Management CRM and OperationalDevelopment Establish processes for accountmanagement as needed for scope of work that
functionefficiently at scale and help BCI establish a solid base of membersand
suppliers for transforming the sector; align withthe global processes
Ensure internal customerrelationship management (CRM) database is updated

The selected candidate will have the followingskills knowledge and experience:

At least 7 years workingexperience in textile production raw materials
procurement or sourcing activities or commercially within aretailer or brand
organisation
Experience inteam and staff management
Demonstrable skills in projectmanagement and collaborative work
Experience knowledgeor a proven interest in issues of sustainability or
development or corporate social responsibility
Experience with key account management
Experience inmanaging information and data
Experience in managingfinances and customer relations
