Primary Role:
The primary role of the Senior Cost Analystis to prepare and maintain the master costing sheet and
the customer compensation sheets for Level 2 tenders in accordancewith the scope of work and
commercial requirements ofthe ITT. The Senior Cost Analyst will report to the RegionalCosting
Manager.
TheSenior Cost Analyst will use historical commercial data andcommercial intelligence to develop
cost estimates forLevel 2 tenders as well as Liaise with Sourcing and the Vendorcommunity to
obtain quotations ensuring the quotationsare accurate valid and competitive
Responsibilities
A more detailed listing of the roles andresponsibilities of the Senior Cost Analyst is providedbelow:
Create a costing spread sheet that accuratelyreflects the scope of work and costing
responsibilities.
Obtain costs for each element on thescope of supply either via historical data or obtaining
quotations.
Develop and maintain close workingrelationships with the supporting functions that provide
input into the costing processes (e.g. Engineering Finance TaxSales Logistics
Manufacturing Supply Chain)
Ensure all elements of the scope of work have been covered in thecosting spread sheet.
Ensure all costs required todeliver the project are included in the projects cost ofsales.
Ensure any capital expenditure required todeliver the project is communicated to the sales
andtender lead for management approval.
Review allquotations received from 3rd party vendors for compliance with thecosting
instructions.
Review all incomingcosts for completeness and compare with similar/recent benchmarksto
ensure competitiveness
Conduct challengesto the costing when necessary or at the request of the CostingManager
Tender Lead or Sales Lead
Ensure thecommercial requirements within ITT documents are reviewed and thenecessary
exceptions and qualifications areraised.
Apply estimating allowances as required toreflect uncertainties within the base costing.
PrepareP&Ls commercial Gate Approvals slides and tender compensationsheets.
Ensure compensation sheets are compliant withcustomer instructions and reflects
instructions receivedat the various Gate Approval reviews
Manage the costingaspects of the posttender clarification process and maintain aclear and
traceable history of cost changes for eachtender during the tender clarification phase Complete a commercial handoverpackage to the execution team. Ensure information is
prepared within the set deadlines
Maintain acommercial/costing database to record and review data fromhistorical
commercial contracts to support commercialdecision making during various stages of the
tendercycle.
Permanently seek and propose for ways ofimproving and developing
Participate actively to mentorsupervise and training of new team members.
Provideguidance and support (when necessary) to Cost and Proposal Analystpersonnel.
