Overview:We arehiring for Senior Quantity Surveyor for a leading constructioncompany As a Senior QuantitySurveyor at our Nungambakkam location you will play a vital role inmanaging all aspects of the cost and financial management ofconstruction projects. Your expertise in cost estimation financialcontrol and contract administration will be crucial in ensuring thesuccessful delivery of highquality projects within budgetconstraints.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Oversee thepreparation and submission of valuations cost plans and budgetestimates
  • Perform cost analysis and implementcost control measures to manage projectbudgets
  • Negotiate and administer contractualarrangements with clients subcontractors andsuppliers
  • Conduct risk analysis and providerecommendations for mitigating costrelatedrisks
  • Manage and mentor a team of quantitysurveyors and estimators to ensure projectefficiency
  • Prepare and analyze financialreports and forecasts for projectstakeholders
  • Assess variations and managecontractual claims
  • Collaborate with projectmanagers to ensure financial feasibility and adherence to projecttimelines
  • Conduct regular site visits to assessprogress and verify work completion
  • Utilizequantity surveying software and tools to streamlineprocesses
  • Participate in tendering processesand provide accurate cost advice to support businessdevelopment
  • Keep abreast of industry trends andbest practices in quantity surveying and costmanagement
  • Ensure compliance with relevant lawsregulations and company policies
  • Participate incontinuous professional development and knowledge sharingactivities
RequiredQualifications:
  • Bachelors degree inQuantity Surveying Civil Engineering or relatedfield
  • Professional certification such as RICSor equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years experience inquantity surveying and cost management
  • Proventrack record in managing largescale constructionprojects
  • Indepth knowledge of constructioncontracts and procurement processes
  • Stronganalytical and numerical skills
  • Excellentcommunication and negotiationabilities
  • Proficiency in quantity surveyingsoftware and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability tolead and mentor a team effectively
  • Projectmanagement skills and the ability to multitaskeffectively
  • Sound understanding of constructiontechnology and methods
  • Ability to work underpressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Thoroughunderstanding of risk management and financial analysisprinciples
