What is in it foryou:

  • The ReservationManager is responsible for optimizing the hotels and RGI (RevenueGeneration Index measuring the hotels position as compared to thecompetition) sales revenue.
  • Close interactionwith the hotels senior management.
  • Takes partin determining budget and strategy & is accountable for itsimplementation.
  • He is responsible for pricingstrategy and for optimizing inventory.
  • Mustprovide a global perspective on Revenue Management to the wholehotel.
  • Ensuring that quality of reservation ismaintained in terms of guest details rates payment methodsetc.
  • Managing staff and ensuring smooth day today activities for reservationdepartment
  • Attend trainings as perschedule.
  • Show fullest cooperation and respectwithin the team and other departments.
  • Is awareof the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotelfacilities
  • Supports the budgetary process andthe yearly strategy.
  • Devises the yearly budgetper segment per day.
  • Determines salesstrategy.
  • Determines yearly rate tables for allmarket segments.
  • Develops and steers the hotelsRevenue strategy.
  • Prepares forecasts and chairsthe Revenue meeting
  • Determines and implementspricing strategies and circulates therecommendations
  • Nurtures relations withinternet partners
  • Updates rates andrestrictions throughout all distributionchannels
  • Collects integrates and studies marketand competition data on a daily basis
  • Producesbenchmarking GDS performance and otherreports.
  • Maintains work systems andtools.
  • Maintain the revenue reporting systemand analyze reservation patterns.
  • Staying up todate on any software or data managementtrends.
  • Be totally familiar with hotel productsrates and promotions at all times. Maintain up to dateunderstanding of company products and rates and involvement incross selling of these when required.
  • Be awareof the strengths and weaknesses of all competing hotel andrestaurant products and provide weekly regular updates aftervisiting competition hotels allocated for trackingpurposes
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence bymonitoring business sources andsegments.
  • Penetrate and saturate prospectiveand existing customer organizations for effective multi departmentselling.
  • Assist the Assistant Director ofRevenue in pursuing new market segments to secure sales and prepareproposals for consideration.
  • Positivecommunication of the hotel image to existing and potential customerat all times.
  • Ensure that revenues and / orcost controls are maximized through proactive actions rather thanreactive management.
  • Report on trends in theindustry and local markets.
  • Attends the hotelsrevenue meetings as scheduled.
  • Be well groomedto the standards laid down. Insist on the same standard for youremployees.
  • To comply with all hotel rules andregulations as outlined in the handbook and to be aware of companydisciplinary and grievanceprocedures.
  • Maintains a monthly overview ofvacation and public holiday balance of all his/her staff anddelivers a monthly consolidated summary to the Director ofP&C.

Qualifications:

Yourexperience and skillsinclude:

  • Minimum of 45years experience in 5* hotel.
  • Experience in theGCC and/or Middle East Region is aplus.
  • Excellent communication skills bothwritten and verbal required.
  • Be committed toexceeding guestexpectations
