Overview:TheProcurement Expert plays a crucial role in the organizationssourcing and purchasing activities ensuring the acquisition ofgoods services and materials to meet business requirementsefficiently. They are responsible for developing and implementingprocurement strategies managing supplier relationships andcontributing to cost savings and processimprovements.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Lead and executeprocurement strategies to achieve costeffective deals and supportorganizational goals.
  • Identify potentialsuppliers and manage the negotiation process to secure favorableterms and conditions.
  • Oversee suppliermanagement activities reviewing performance and establishingquality and delivery standards.
  • Analyze markettrends pricing and industry developments to inform procurementdecisions.
  • Collaborate with internalstakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provideguidance on best practices.
  • Develop andmaintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable andtimely delivery of goods andservices.
  • Implement and maintain procurementpolicies procedures and best practices to ensure compliance andefficiency.
  • Conduct contract managementactivities including drafting reviewing and negotiating contractsand agreements.
  • Drive continuous improvementinitiatives identifying opportunities to optimize procurementprocesses and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and assesssupplier performance resolving any issues or disputes that mayarise.
  • Contribute to the development of keyperformance indicators and metrics to measure procurementeffectiveness.
  • Participate in crossfunctionalteams and projects to support strategic sourcing initiatives andsupply chain optimization.
  • Stay updated onindustry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chainmanagement.
  • Prepare and present regular reportsand updates on procurement activities to seniormanagement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevantregulations and standards in all procurementactivities.
RequiredQualifications:
  • Bachelors degree inbusiness administration supply chain management or a relatedfield.
  • Proven experience in procurementpurchasing or supply chain management with at least 6 years in astrategic procurement role.
  • Demonstratedexpertise in negotiating contracts managing supplier relationshipsand driving cost savings initiatives.
  • Indepthknowledge of procurement best practices market analysis techniquesand sourcing strategies.
  • Strong analytical andproblemsolving abilities with the capacity to make datadrivenprocurement decisions.
  • Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills with the ability to build strongrelationships with internal and externalstakeholders.
  • Proficiency in contractmanagement including drafting reviewing and interpretingcontractual terms and conditions.
  • Experience indeveloping and implementing procurement policies procedures andprocess improvements.
  • Good understanding ofcompliance requirements and regulations related to procurementactivities.
  • Proven track record of drivingsupplier performance improvements and managing complex procurementprojects.
  • Ability to work effectively in afastpaced dynamic environment and handle multiple prioritiessimultaneously.
  • Proficiency in usingprocurement and supply chain management software andtools.
  • Certification in procurement or supplychain management (e.g. CSCP CPSM) is aplus.
  • Strong leadership and team managementskills with the ability to mentor and coach junior procurementstaff.
  • Sound decisionmaking and strategicplanning capabilities with a focus on achieving business objectivesthrough effective procurementstrategies.
