About the department

Finance Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore was established in 2007, is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Commercial Analytics, Financial Planning & Analytics for Head Quarters at Denmark, Region Europe, North America, International Operations & Global Service Centre Bangalore. Commercial Analytics is part of Finance GBS and was founded in June 2013 with the idea of establishing a team consisting of dedicated analytics professionals to provide the best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global organization. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service and partnership experience to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.

The Position

As an Associate Director – Frontline Excellence at Novo Nordisk, you will have the opportunity to:

Responsible for partnering and creating strategic insights and developing internal capabilities in commercial resource allocation, growth driver identification, channel prioritization, return on investment and competitive benchmarking to drive commercial decisions in IO. Driving the team to deliver key business priorities in the ever-changing business environment.

Partnering closely with IO leadership in strategic operations and regional as well as sub-regional teams to deliver business solutions, bridge gaps through data and insights, advocate data driven mindset within commercial organization. Developing analytical solutions data and insight based that are scalable across the IO and NNI and drive critical business decisions. Involved in strategic development to drive continuous improvements on supported business processes to comply with the Commercial Analytics strategy.

Continue to uplift and bridge service gaps in the existing COE to create a consolidated hub for Frontline excellence.

Improvements and drive analytical and consulting in designing and execution of projects. Good commercial knowledge from Pharma industry to add value to the business discussions and decisions.

Experience in managing a diverse team across Front line domains by hiring the right talent and develop the internal talent as well to further collaborate with business.

Ensure superior customer satisfaction by delivering high end quality support along with team. Supporting strategic recommendations to key business questions, based on research results.

Collaborate and ensure strong engagement within CA management team to achieve a common department goal. Driving vendor support and contracts for specific time bound needs.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

MBA, Graduation in Pharmacy, life science/Engineering background.

10+ years of experience in incentive compensation planning, field force effectiveness, and front-line excellence/consulting.

Strong analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analyzing complex situations and driving strategic projects and initiatives.

Good commercial knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.

Technical skills: Advanced Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred: Knowledge of Diabetes, Obesity, Rare Diseases, Pharma value chain, international markets.

Empathetic leadership qualities to manage a team with diverse perspectives.

Excellent business writing and presentation skills.
