Job Purpose

As the Assistant Manager - CFD at the Royal Enfield Technology Centre Chennai, you will be a part of the CAE team and report to the Team Lead, Powertrain CAE, Royal Enfield. You will make a valuable contribution to the thermal sciences performance of all new Royal Enfield motorcycles.

As the Assistant Manager - CFD, you will work with multiple teams within and outside the organization to deliver the results on time based on project priority. You will also work with design department based in UK Tech Centre from Chennai


Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as Assistant Manager - CFD in Chennai will include, but not limited to:

  • Your key responsibilities as Assistant Manager - CFD in Chennai will include, but not limited to.
  • Build and maintain high fidelity CFD models of Engine and chassis components and other sub systems
  • Ability to perform work with high attention to accuracy and detail
  • Able to create analysis report with good understanding of results interpretation
  • As Assistant Manager - CFD, you will be measured on:
  • Developing and validating CFD model to match with physical test correlation
  • Developing CFD models for Conjugate Heat Transfer analysis, Aerodynamic analysis and Flow analyses
  • Giving suggestions to modify the engine and vehicle components to improve the thermal performance
  • Carrying out simulations for full vehicle assembly, sub assembly and component level using tools like Star CCM+ and Nano FluidX
  • Validation of the simulations with testing
  • Optimising parts and assemblies and finding new solutions in close cooperation with design and product line departments




Work Experience

Education

Master of Engineering / Master of Technology in Thermal / Aerospace / Fluid Power


Experience

  • Have 1 -4 year Experience in computational fluid dynamics
  • Good to have strong knowledge of StarCCM+ Software
  • Good Knowledge in Java macro creation or any other software coding is added advantage
  • Good knowledge of heat transfer, Fluid flow and thermal management
  • Design optimization concerning fluid flow optimization based on CFD simulations
