ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a BSA role NOT the same as a BA roleand calls for a seasoned Senior Business Analyst ALONG WITH SystemsAnalyst experience.

Suitablecandidates must be comfortable working in a highly dynamiccollaborative work environment to meet the needs of multiplebusiness lines and supporting a portfolio comprised of a widevariety of custom applications and thirdparty platforms andintegrations.

As a Senior Business SystemsAnalyst on the team you will be responsible for ensuring thatbusiness needs are well understood documented and communicated tothe technical resources responsible. Assignments may includeanalysis and design of new features and platform implementation aswell as partnering with both business stakeholders and technicalresources to prioritize manage troubleshoot and implement small tomediumsize enhancement. Problemsolving and triage support forurgent production break fix resolution is also required.

The applicant will perform a variety of taskssimultaneously working in a matrixed environment. A certain degreeof creativity and latitude is required. The applicant must rely onlimited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Inaddition the analyst will be responsible for mentoring andassisting junior members of the team as they work to grow their BSAskillset.

BSA Skills

Perform & appropriately scale BSArelated tasks & activitiesfor work efforts of various sizes (from small maintenance items anddefects to large projects)
Ensure SDLC processes arebeing followed
Product thorough User Stories withsufficient Acceptance Criteria Development and Specificationnecessary to support the product owner SME development and qualityassurance stakeholders
Acquire full understanding ofbusiness vision for project enhancements and defectremediation
Make recommendations to business on bestpractices
Provide business analysis support for projectrequests making sure to examine build vs. buy options that may beavailable and align with business strategic goals including cost /benefit analysis for new efforts.
Effectively usevarious elicitation techniques (JAD sessions interviews surveysshadowing etc.) to ensure that the true business need and intent isunderstood and well documented. (RFPs SOWs business requirementsbusiness processes flows etc)
Formulate and documentwellformed user stories with detailed acceptancecriteria
Understand how change to acomponent/application impacts the whole system and makerecommendations for the logical design of systemenhancements
Provide design support for technical teamsin planning and execution of project design sessions prior todevelopment iterations to identify and specify logical systemdesign
Work with Development Lead / System Engineer asliaison to communicate business requirements through elicitation ofadditional technical requirements
Gather integrationrequirements for data to include identification and assessment ofdata sources and creation of source/target mappings
Adapt current integration processes to accommodate changes insource systems and new business user requirements
Partner with technical and quality assurance resources to ensurethat requirements are implemented and tested per the acceptancecriteria
Assist Product Owners with UAT planning andexecution integrated with QA test planning (as needed)
