This role will be instrumental in establishing efficient and scalable processes, systems, and policies across the employee lifecycle, ensuring an exceptional employee experience while maintaining compliance and aligning with company objectives. A significant focus of this role will be on the India region, given its large employee base and unique operational nuances. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking abilities, and the capacity to align HR initiatives with business objectives.

What you will do here at Space Matrix

Strategic Leadership:

  • Partner with the Head HRBP and Global CFO to develop a comprehensive global HR operations strategy that supports the company's growth and business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation to enhance efficiency, productivity, and data accuracy.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the company's HR operations remain compliant and competitive.
  • Lead the creation, modification, and harmonization of HR policies, ensuring compliance with local regulations and business needs.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the global HR operations team, including onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, performance management administration, learning & development administration, and offboarding.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of HR services.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive HR policies, procedures, and SOPs that align with local labor laws and regulations in each operating region.
  • Leverage technology and HRIS systems to streamline processes, automate workflows, and enhance data analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure product adoption of HRIS across geographies & drive the digital transformation within HR operations. 
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and leaders to ensure effective implementation and adoption of HR initiatives across regions. 
  • Ensure seamless execution of HR processes, including onboarding, performance appraisals, separations, and other lifecycle events.
  • Maintain an updated employee handbook and introduce HR policies as per organizational requirements and industry best practices.

Payroll Management:

  • Collaborate with payroll vendors and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Monitor payroll timelines and quality standards, ensuring compliance with taxation regulations.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Maintain compliance with statutory requirements and employment laws, leading all HR-related audits for the organization.
  • Prepare and review reports/dashboards, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Data-Driven Insights:

  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of HR operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to Head HRBP, leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in HR processes and programs.

Requirements

  • A degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field.( Master’s will be preferred)
  • 12-15 years of progressive experience in HR operations, with a proven track record of leading global teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep expertise in Indian labor laws, HR practices, and cultural nuances. 
  • Understanding of Singapore, China, Manila, Philippines markets and statute laws. 
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and technology implementation.
  • Experience driving the Digital transformation initiatives. 
  • Proven track record of acting as a brand ambassador for organizations, demonstrating integrity and fairness in all interactions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Strategic orientation with a keen business acumen, capable of multitasking across multiple locations and business units.
  • Prior experience in a startup environment is desirable, demonstrating agility and adaptability.
