Product Support Coordinator

Job Title: Product SupportCoordinator

Duration: 6months

Location: MoncksCorner SC 29461

Shift time:7:00am 5:30pm Monday through Thursday

Position summary:

  • With direct guidance in a team environment responsiblefor performing a variety of product support duties followingwelldefined procedures and processes in one or more of thefollowing functions: raw stock parts identification shippingreceiving stockroom stock handling clean operations parts handlingetc.

Responsibilities:

Raw Stock:

  • Receive incoming raw stock and verify material againstdocumentation for identification and accuracy of quantity.
  • Load and unload trucks and move raw materialsto the proper location.
  • Identify and code rawmaterial and operate saw to cut the stock to dimensionalspecifications.
  • Issue jobs per the scheduleand update shop floor MRP and other systems.

Parts Identification:

  • Identify parts using simple and properidentification methods and equipment indicated by the travelerand/or blueprint. Lay out exact dimensions and locations on theparts for identification markings.

Shipping:

  • Prepare parts and/or materials to assure safe handlingfor shipment including the completion of the necessary paperworkand shipping records and maintenance of a shipping log.
  • Prepare packaging per specifications for shipmentincluding computer input for necessary labels forms and shippingrecords.

Receiving:

  • Receive shipments at receiving dock and forward materialsto the appropriate team. Weigh or count incoming/outbound parts ormaterials.

Stockroom:

  • Receive material check and identify parts by type or partnumber. Prepare parts for storage and place stock in
  • The proper location as directed. Select parts from stockto fill orders according to parts lists. Perform cycle inventorycount. Maintain and access necessary records utilizing acomputer.

Cleanoperations:

  • Using variouscleaning and degreasing methods clean and remove oil andcontamination from parts and equipment according to properprocedures and specifications. Oil parts to prevent rust andcorrosion.

PartsHandling:

  • Followingtraveler/route sheet instructions move parts between functions orteams using a forklift or other moving devices.
  • Package or repackage parts to prevent damage duringmovement or handling. Request and stage tooling required to supportteam schedules.
  • Audit material storage areasto support inventory location and count accuracy.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations and maintain thework area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Perform other related responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

  • One year of product support or relatedexperience or demonstrated ability to perform described positionresponsibilities.
  • General knowledge ofcomputer terminal operations.
  • May be requiredto operate moving equipment saw equipment and meet OSHA safetyqualifications.
  • May require a forkliftoperator certificate.
  • Must demonstrate manualdexterity.
  • Ability to perform basicmathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read andunderstand related forms and specifications.
  • May be required to lift to fifty pounds.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal written andinterpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability towork effectively with others and be a participativecollaborator.
