Perform Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager on behalf of our client a renowned leader in the beef processing industry. Our client is recognized for delivering premium beef to niche highend markets across Europe. With cuttingedge slaughter and deboning facilities they uphold a commitment to excellence at every stage of production. As their operations expand rapidly they are looking for a talented Production Manager to lead their team and drive continued operational success.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

The Production Manager will oversee the planning coordination and control of the production process ensuring that all operations meet efficiency targets GMP safety and quality standards as well as budgetary requirements. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards that the companys customers expect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting Targets: Ensure production targets are met or exceeded while optimizing resource use.
  • Scheduling: Develop monitor and adjust production schedules to align with business needs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate production teams manage their training needs and support career progression.
  • Equipment & Layout: Participate in the selection design and layout of equipment to enhance production efficiency.
  • Waste Management: Maintain waste within agreed limits and ensure compliance with all safety and quality regulations.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce all Health & Safety regulations including the proper use of PPE and ensure adherence to GMP standards and company procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high product quality standards ensuring compliance with all legal and safety criteria.
  • CrossDepartmental Coordination: Liaise with Management Contractors QC Maintenance Accounts Human Resources and Production personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Technology Use: Utilize IT systems for data management and analysis ensuring accurate and efficient reporting.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education: Relevant thirdlevel qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Production Manager in the AgriFood sector with a strong preference for candidates with experience in beef processing.
  • Technical & Operational Skills: Strong operational knowledge proficiency in IT and administrative tasks and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication problemsolving and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Judgment & Diplomacy: Ability to exercise sound judgment and diplomacy in handling complex situations.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problemsolving.
