Role: Product SecurityEngineer

Rate: $50 $60/hr onW2

Location:Remote

Length: 6 months

Our Product Security organizationpartners with our engineers to help us go from an idea to themarketplace delivering the measurement solutions to create a moreconnected and secure world. We are seeking a talented andexperienced Product Security Engineer to work within the ProductSecurity team for the endtoend security of softwareproducts.

The ideal candidate will have priorexperience working closely with software engineering and productteams to achieve product and security business objectives. Theysupport the implementation of secure development practices threatmodelling architecture design vulnerability assessments andsecurity verification as well as defining the security standardsfor a variety of products and tools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Providing security guidance on new productsand technologies within the organization
  • Develop solutions to meet security needs efficiently andovercome technical challenges
  • Collaboratingwith engineering teams to perform product security assessments andthreat modelling
  • Hardening and managing thesecurity of software development pipeline tools (CI/CD)
  • Collaborating with development teams to reduce falsepositives from SAST and DAST scans
  • Collaborating with infrastructure teams to hardenoperating systems and infrastructure.
  • Responding to vulnerabilities discovered by detectionsystems
  • Maintaining internal documentation andsecurity standards to align with security best practices
  • Designing and implementing tools to automate and scalesecurity processes
  • Define access policies andreview access requests for approval
  • Assesseffectiveness of security controls such as firewalls authenticationmethods etc.
  • Providing security support andleadership to the product engineering team
  • Oversees the creation of project documentation includingqualification plans issue lists

Qualifications

  • United States location (for ITAR relatedassignments)
  • 3 years Product Security Engineerexperience required
  • Bachelors Degree inComputer Science Computer Engineering or equivalent and relevantexperience
  • Experience configuring and usingstatic and dynamic application security testing tools
  • Scripting abilities with policies as code and simpleautomation using Python Bash or similar tools
  • Knowledge of secure software design and developmenttechniques
  • Maintains current knowledge oftechnologies evaluates and researches technologies to determinebest solutions placement testing methodologies andimplementation
  • Strong exposure to popularapplication security standards including OWASP TOP 10 SANS TOP25
  • CISSP CSSLP AWS Certified SecuritySpecialty or other security certifications preferred
