Position Overview

The Business Capability Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales and soft skills training programs to enhance the professional capabilities, product knowledge, and performance of employees. This role acts as a strategic business partner, ensuring continuous evolution of skills aligned with organizational goals and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training and Development

  • Deliver onboarding programs (including digital and pre-induction assignments) and monitor e-learning progress.
  • Conduct on-the-job and post-induction training in collaboration with Regional and Zonal Managers, focusing on scientific product knowledge.
  • Develop therapy-specific e-learning modules using tools like Articulate 360.
  • Conduct periodic product and skill-based classroom training, mock role plays, and simulation-based exercises.
  • Provide structured field coaching to enhance performance and learning outcomes.
  • Align training priorities based on feedback from business leaders, probation assessments, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

2. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales and Medical Affairs teams to align training content with product positioning, objection handling, and treatment protocols.
  • Collaborate with central learning teams to co-facilitate advanced capability development programs.
  • Coordinate with Regional Managers, Sales Managers, and HR to assess and address training needs for employees across therapy areas, including Oncology.

3. Performance Monitoring

  • Track progress through assessments, quizzes, and coaching logs.
  • Conduct therapy-specific evaluations such as knowledge assessments and skill simulations.
  • Adapt training plans based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and field performance insights.

4. Other Responsibilities

  • Allocate approximately 10 days per month for fieldwork and 10 days for classroom/training activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and organizational integrity in all interactions.
  • Undertake additional assignments as required by management.

Profile Requirements

Education:

  • Graduate in Life Sciences or Pharmacy (MBA in HR preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Training, Capability Development, or a related function within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience in high-science domains such as Oncology or Specialty Care.
