Job Description
As the
Chief Marketing Officer
at Kay International, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the overall sales and marketing strategy for our blower manufacturing business. Your role will involve driving business growth, expanding our market reach, and enhancing brand visibility in the global market. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to define and implement strategies that elevate the company's position in the competitive landscape of industrial blower systems.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's business objectives, ensuring robust sales growth.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to consistently meet and exceed targets in domestic and international markets.
- Identify new market opportunities, including untapped regions, industries, or product segments.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners to drive business development and long-term sales success.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to adapt and refine sales strategies.
Marketing Leadership:
- Create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to strengthen brand awareness and market share in both existing and emerging markets.
- Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including website optimization, SEO, and content marketing.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that new blower products meet customer needs and market demands.
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources across various channels to maximize ROI.
- Organize and oversee trade shows, industry conferences, and customer events to promote the brand and network with potential clients.
Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and inspire the sales and marketing teams to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
- Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and results-oriented behaviour across both departments.
- Regularly assess the skills and capabilities of team members, identifying development needs and providing ongoing training.
Customer & Market Insight:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of customer needs, preferences, and purchasing behaviour, using this information to drive product innovation and sales tactics.
- Establish mechanisms for gathering customer feedback and use insights to improve product offerings and customer service.
- Analyse market data and generate actionable insights to refine the company's positioning in the market.
Budgeting & Reporting:
- Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets to ensure profitability while achieving strategic goals.
- Provide regular reports to the executive team on sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and market conditions.
- Set and track KPIs for sales growth, brand recognition, and market share.
Product & Brand Development:
- Drive product development strategies in collaboration with engineering and R&D to ensure the company's blower products meet industry standards and exceed customer expectations.
- Oversee the development of compelling brand messaging and value propositions tailored to target markets.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 10 years in a leadership role, ideally in industrial manufacturing or a similar technical field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing sales and marketing teams in a competitive market.
- Experience in blower manufacturing, HVAC systems, or industrial equipment is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing tools and trends.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, distributors, and partners.
- International business experience is a plus, as the company may have a global reach.
