Job Description – Software Sales Executive (Customized Solutions)

Position: Software Sales Executive / Manager

Location: chennai-Onsite

Experience: 2–6 years (for Executive) | 6+ years (for Manager)


About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Sales Professional to drive sales of our customized software solutions. Unlike standard SaaS products, this role requires strong consultative selling skills to understand client requirements, recommend tailored solutions, and close high-value deals.


Key Responsibilities

Identify and qualify prospects across industries that require customized software solutions.

Understand client business needs, pain points, and workflows to propose the right solution.

Work closely with the technical/product team to prepare customized demos and proposals.

Present, negotiate, and close contracts with clients (SMEs, large enterprises, and institutions).

Build and maintain long-term relationships to drive repeat and referral business.

Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.

Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client communications in CRM.


Requirements

Proven experience in IT/software sales, enterprise sales, or solution-based sales.

Strong consultative selling and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

Understanding of the software development lifecycle and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.

Experience in working with cross-functional teams (product, tech, marketing).

Ability to manage long sales cycles and high-ticket deals.

Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing/IT (MBA preferred).


Nice to Have

Prior experience in custom software development sales or ERP/CRM solutions.

Network/relationships with decision-makers in target industries.

Experience in handling RFPs and large institutional sales.
