Key Responsibilities:

1. Estimation & Tendering Management

  • Lead the end-to-end estimation process for HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
  • Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify scope, materials, and requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractor costs.
  • Conduct value engineering and propose cost-effective alternatives where applicable.
  • Ensure all tenders are submitted accurately and on time with all technical and commercial documentation.
  • Review final estimates for accuracy and completeness before submission.

2. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise, train, and mentor estimation engineers and draftsmen.
  • Allocate workloads, monitor progress, and ensure quality and consistency of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution.

3. Vendor & Subcontractor Relations

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations.
  • Maintain an updated database of material costs, equipment suppliers, and subcontractor rates.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with reliable vendors to ensure competitive pricing.

4. Strategy & Reporting

  • Participate in management meetings to discuss tender strategy, risk assessment, and bid competitiveness.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to enhance bid success rates.
  • Prepare estimation reports, bid summaries, and project cost breakdowns for management review.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum 10–15 years in HVAC estimation, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead estimation role within a reputed MEP contracting firm.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems design, materials, equipment, and installation methods.

  • Proficiency in estimation and tendering software (e.g., Excel, Candy, CCS, or similar).

  • Familiarity with relevant standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.) and local building codes.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach
