1. ROLE OVERVIEW:

  • The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Acquisition and Advisory Sales.
  • Managers across the Mumbai region. The ASM will drive client acquisition, revenue generation, and cross-selling of financial products while ensuring adherence to performance targets and incentive structures.
  • This role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on execution to grow the business and mentor the sales team.

  • Function / Department: Equity Broking Group
  • Reporting To (position): National Sales Head
  • Total number of employees supervised: Depending on organization .

Structure Internal Level: Mid-Level Management

3. RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

  • Supervise and mentor Sales Managers to meet quarterly acquisition and revenue goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team alignment with company objectives and incentive structures.
  • Achieve progressive revenue targets based on combined cost (ASM + team).
  • Track and report net revenue performance across all product lines.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and implement regional sales strategies.
  • Support cross-selling of third-party products (TPPs) including PMS, mutual funds, insurance, and bonds.
  • Identify and pursue high-potential client segments for business expansion. EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in equity broking, wealth management, or financial sales.
  • Proven leadership in managing sales teams and delivering revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of HNI client acquisition and financial product strategy.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.

4. KNOWLEDGE:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business, or related field.
  • NISM certifications preferred.
