This position of Digital Lead is responsible for Managing Digital Initiatives across the organization and be a part of the Technology Center of Excellence CoE.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated candidate having experience of Digital Automation Platforms to oversee the explore opportunities, design, develop, implement, and support of solutions. The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of digital technologies, project management skills, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through complex projects including ERP integrations. This role requires both technical expertise and leadership capabilities to deliver transformative initiatives.

The person will be a part of the corporate IT Team, handling digitization responsibilities for the business. He/She will be a part of the technology Center of Excellence (CoE) team ensuring proper solution and technology upkeep of the application. For daily operational/functional activities it is a simple and flat structure and has aspects of matrix or project organization. This role demands the person to be comfortable with non-hierarchical technology department, the focus being performance teams. On a project, reporting relationships will vary based on assigned role. All team members in the Technology Teamwork for multiple business verticals within the organization, though they would be assigned to the central corporate function.

This position of a Digital Initiatives professional will play a crucial role in contributing to digital transformation projects within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, evaluate, and implement digital initiatives that enhance business processes, improve customer experiences, and drive growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, operations, and senior leadership, to ensure successful execution of digital initiatives.

He/She will be part of the TIL Technology Team. The role requires interface with peers in the Systems and the leaders of the business units for various initiative tracking and updates.

The entire information technology (IT) infrastructure is deployed and managed from the corporate location in Mumbai, where this role will be based.

Digital Technology Strategy

  • Develop and maintain the organizations digital technology roadmap in alignment with business teams
  • Identify and evaluate new digital technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, automation tools, low-code platforms) to drive innovation
  • Lead the digital maturity roadmap for core systems and business processes

Digital Transformation & Modernization

  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organization in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
  • Provide actionable recommendations for digital solution adoption that enhance business performance and operational efficiency
  • Modernize legacy systems by introducing cloud-native, modular, and scalable digital solutions
  • Promote API-first and integration-led architecture to enable system interoperability

Platform Ownership & Governance

  • Serve as the product owner or technology steward for key digital platforms (e.g., intranet, customer portals, workflow automation platforms etc)
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them on best practices for scalable, maintainable, and secure digital solution development
  • Conduct code reviews and oversee development activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and technical specifications

Solution Delivery & Project Leadership

  • Lead the design and delivery of digital solutions using agile or hybrid methodologies
  • Manage project using various methodologies like Waterfall, Agile or Scrum depending upon the nature and need of the project
  • Maintain and track documentation (FRDs, FDDs, RTM – Traceability Doc, Use cases, Tests results etc) signoffs, and User Manuals
  • Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and vendors to ensure high-quality implementation
  • Track and report progress of digital initiatives to senior IT and business leaders

Stakeholder & Change Management

  • Work closely with business units to gather requirements, prioritize digital use cases, and deliver value-added solutions.
  • Champion digital adoption by facilitating training, documentation, and change management efforts.
  • Translate complex technical solutions into business-friendly language for decision-making.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a culture of experimentation and innovation through proof-of-concepts and pilot programs.
  • Monitor digital trends (AI, RPA, cloud, data analytics) to inform future IT investments.
  • Use data and analytics to measure impact and continuously optimize digital initiatives.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • Candidates having additional certification/diploma on computer application & programming preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT digitization
  • Strong knowledge of digital technologies, trends, and best practices
  • Hands-on experience of Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience managing complex IT projects across multiple functional areas and/or geographic locations
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
