B. Job Objective
Job Purpose
Responsible for supporting towards implementation of the commercial strategy, interfaces, progress updates and reporting in alignment to all supplier negotiations. Provision of all commercial deliverables (eg negotiation plan, contract risk analysis, benefits analysis and contract creation and closure) Managing complex contracts.
C. Primary Responsibilities
Strategic
Partner with teams to prepare Long Term Plans, Annual Operating Plans contributing input from a sourcing/procurement perspective in line with the business objectives.
Provide strategic direction and plans for the company with regard to all commercial functions.
Provide efficient services through cost-effective and competent processes. Business planning with various cost & profitability reports
Responsible for WBS, forecasting, profitability & variance analysis.
Provide strategic leadership in defining the commercial path to growth and profitability of the company and the
Establishment of an effective growth process.
Finance
Adequately budget and plan resources toward procurement ensuring efficient utilization with a view to meeting the business objectives.
Drive long term Supply strategies - Oversee and lead indigenous vendor development for consumables and non-consumables with a view to reduce year on year procurement costs.
Define and execute revenue and commercial strategy for the organization under the endorsement of CEC for approved P&L objective.
Business plan optimization with margins, pricing, finalizing product mix for maximizing contribution & Profitability on product landing price.
Evaluation of Capex proposals & recommending approvals for better returns & payback period.
Review & scrutinizing cost reports & provide suggestion for cost reduction methods.
Suggestions for corrective actions in alignment with the business strategy.
Process
Supporting towards ensuring accountabilities for all commercial aspects of engagement with multiple strategic suppliers (looking at existing contracts - analysis, negotiation, governance and closure - to deliver greater rights).
Supporting towards ensuring accountability for achieving strategic objectives aligned to each commercial deal.
Managing teams (including Surveyors, Business Analysts, Data Analysts etc.)
Business planning with various cost & profitability reports.
Reviewing & providing Intelligence on new supplier developments, procurements contracts & pricing.
Business plan optimization with margins, pricing, finalizing product mix for maximizing contribution & Profitability.
Evaluation of Capex proposals & recommending approvals for better returns & payback period.

Responsible for plant product costing and efficiency reporting.
Commercial contract management & adherence.
Review & scrutinized cost reports & provide suggestion for cost reduction methods.
Provide complete analysis and inside of the commercial data which impact business performance.
Managing complex contracts.
Balance the Supplier requirements with those of the business to determine optimum deal position and maintain this through the lifecycle of supplier engagement.
Identify and implement OPEX -saving opportunities.
- Strong stakeholder relationship skills
Ensure full compliance with Company commercial procedures and corporate governance requirements
Carry out audits on regional contracts.
Evaluates and recommends revenue opportunities through the assessment of consumer and shopper occasions analysis of customers and competitors' performance.
People
Maintain working relationships with governmental officials, senior management from industry-related partners, manufacturers, distributors and suppliers, counterparts from the broader renewable energy community.
D. Role Requirements / Specifications
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, business administration, or related field.
Desired Experience
10-15 years with 08-10 years of relevant experience in managing CCM in solar sector organizations.
E-commerce, including international procurement.
Experience in commercial negotiations and management, and/or commercial strategy.
Knowledge & Skills
A strong, proven commercial background and profit focus.
- Strong industry and market awareness (local, regional, international).
