Job Description – Freelance Faculty (Big Data & Cloud Computing – BVoc Program)

Position: Freelance Faculty (Part-Time / Hourly Basis)

Location: Mira Road, Thane

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic freelance faculty member to teach core subjects

under the BVoc Big Data & Cloud Computing program (Mumbai University Curriculum).

The role involves delivering engaging lectures, guiding practical sessions, and mentoring

students to build strong foundations in computer science and data-driven technologies.

Subjects to be Taught

● Data Structures and Algorithms

● Computer Networks & Microprocessors

● Operating Systems

● (Optionally other advanced subjects in later semesters such as Big Data Analytics,

Cloud Computing, Database Management Systems, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

● Deliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions as per the prescribed syllabus.

● Develop teaching material, assignments, and case studies aligned with course

objectives.

● Conduct internal assessments (class tests, viva, practicals) and support in examination

preparation.

● Guide students in practical implementation of concepts (C, C++, Python, Networking

setups, Linux OS, etc.).

● Provide academic support and mentoring to students.

● Ensure completion of syllabus within the semester timeline.

● Collaborate with the program team to improve pedagogy and curriculum delivery.

Qualifications

● Postgraduate degree in Computer Science / IT / Data Science / Electronics / related

field.

● Preferably PhD / NET / SET qualified (not mandatory for freelance roles).

● Strong subject knowledge.

● Hands-on experience with programming languages (C, C++, Python, Java) and

system-level concepts.

Experience

● Minimum 2–3 years of teaching or industry experience in relevant subjects.

● Experience in academic curriculum delivery at the UG/PG level is preferred.

● Exposure to modern teaching tools (LMS, online labs, virtual classrooms) will be an

advantage.

Skills Required

● Excellent communication and presentation skills.
