Job Title: Visiting Faculty – Advanced Excel & Analytics

Location: Mumbai, India (Patkar–Varde College, Goregaon West)

Type: Visiting / Part-Time

Target Profile: Industry Professionals or Experienced Trainers proficient in Excel-based Data Analytics

About the Role:

SDBI (School of Data and Business Intelligence) is inviting applications for the position of Visiting Faculty – Advanced Excel & Analytics at our Mumbai campus. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about data-driven decision-making and can train students to leverage Excel as a powerful analytical tool.

The role focuses on imparting hands-on learning, practical problem-solving, and introducing students to analytical thinking using Excel-based tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver interactive lectures and lab sessions on Advanced Excel and Analytics.
  • Cover topics such as:
  • Data cleaning and transformation
  • Advanced formulas and functions
  • Pivot Tables, Power Query, and Power Pivot
  • Data visualization and dashboards
  • What-if analysis, Solver, and scenario planning
  • Excel-based business analytics and automation using VBA (optional)
  • Design and assess assignments, projects, and case studies to reinforce learning.
  • Incorporate industry use cases for business decision-making using Excel.
  • Guide students in applying Excel analytics for real-world data problems.
  • Keep course content aligned with industry trends and analytical best practices.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3–10+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel (Advanced) — including formulas, data modeling, and visualization.
  • Familiarity with Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA preferred.
  • Ability to explain analytical concepts in a clear, structured, and engaging manner.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Prior teaching, training, or corporate workshop experience is a plus.

Commitment:

  • 4–8 hours per week, on-campus at Patkar–Varde College, Goregaon West, Mumbai.
  • Flexible schedule suitable for working professionals.
