Job Description
The Sous Chef is a collaborator and, under the leadership of the Executive Chef, is responsible for menu and product development at Central Kitchen. The role holder is accountable for producing quality food to menu specifications in a high turnover unit and for on-site functions as required. The Sous Chef takes full responsibility for all aspects of the central kitchen when the Executive Chef is absent.
Skills:
- Knowledge of diverse culinary preparation
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Ability to create, develop, and execute new recipes and concepts.
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
- Good knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is essential.
- Proficient communication abilities
- Displays adaptability in an ever-changing environment.
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management
- Certification in Culinary Arts
- If the incumbent holds a bachelor's degree, then must have at least 12 years of experience in the field of Food Production within the hospitality industry or a related industry.
- If the incumbent holds a Diploma, then must have at least 15 years of experience in the field of Food Production within the hospitality industry or a related industry.
