
Sales Engineer – Solar Rooftop

Role Objective
To support the sales cycle for rooftop solar projects by identifying leads, conducting site assessments, preparing basic proposals, and assisting senior managers in deal closures.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate leads through field visits, references, and local networking.
- Collect and analyse customer energy bills, rooftop measurements, and basic site data.
- Conduct preliminary techno-commercial discussions with customers.
- Preparing proposals, presentations, and quotations.
- Coordinate with the design & project teams for feasibility and site surveys.
- Deal closures and ensure timely collection of customer documentation.
- Update leads and activities regularly in CRM tools.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years in sales of solar rooftop, electrical equipment, or capital goods.
- Strong technical aptitude with interest in solar energy solutions.
- Good communication and presentation skills in English, Hindi, and local language (Odia/Hindi).
- Self-motivated, willing to travel frequently.
- Ability to grow into an independent sales manager role over time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Fixed Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000/month (based on experience).
