Job Description – Service Engineer (with Technical Sales Support)
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Service Engineer with strong technical expertise in electrical and hydraulic systems. The candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of our CNC machines. Additionally, the role requires supporting technical sales activities when needed, providing pre-sales technical guidance, customer demos, and after-sales technical support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machines, CNC Press Brakes, NC Shearing Machines, and CNC Panel Benders.
  • Read, interpret, and work with electrical and hydraulic circuit diagrams.
  • Diagnose and resolve machine breakdowns with minimal downtime.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and provide training to customer teams.
  • Prepare and maintain service reports and documentation.
  • Support the technical sales team with customer demos, technical presentations, and site visits.
  • Provide feedback to the design/production team for continuous improvement.
  • Travel to client sites across India and abroad (as required).

Requirements
Education:
Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering or related stream.

Experience:
Minimum 1 year of proven experience in servicing CNC or heavy industrial machines.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, PLCs, hydraulic systems, and CNC machine operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret **electrical & hydraulic circuit diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for handling customers.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Ability to support technical sales when required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in CNC sheet metal machinery (Fiber Laser, Press Brakes, Shearing, Panel Benders).
  • Exposure to automation systems, PLC programming, or servo drives.
  • Hands-on approach with a customer-first attitude.
