Location: Thane Mumbai- HO / Bhiwandi Mumbai - Factory / Surat - Warehouse

Reporting To: Manager – Finance & Accounts

Role Summary

The Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation compliance, and supporting month-end closing activities. The role requires strong experience in the textile/garment manufacturing industry, including costing, inventory, vendor payments, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Financial Management

  • Manage daily accounting operations—AP, AR, general ledger, banking, and reconciliation.
  • Oversee vendor payments, credit control, and customer outstanding follow-ups.
  • Monitor inventory accounting, fabric/trim consumption, WIP, and finished goods valuation.

2. Textile Industry–Specific Responsibilities

  • Handle garment/textile costing: fabric cost, trims, labour, overheads, and per-piece costing.
  • Coordinate with production, store, and merchandising teams for consumption data & costing accuracy.
  • Monitor job work charges, cut-and-pack costs, and subcontracting payments.
  • Validate purchase orders, GRN, and production slips to ensure accurate accounting.

3. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet schedules, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Track cash flow, fund flow, and working capital requirements.

4. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance

  • Responsible for timely filing of GST returns, TDS, PF/ESIC, PT, and other statutory payments.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audit requirements.
  • Assist in preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor queries.

5. Banking & Treasury

  • Manage bank reconciliation and coordinate for LC, BG, OD, CC limits.
  • Handle payments, receipts, vendor settlements, and advance adjustments.

6. Process & Control Management

  • Implement internal controls for purchase, payments, inventory, and job work processes.
  • Improve accuracy, reduce errors, and streamline finance processes.

7. Team Coordination

  • Guide junior accountants on entries, reconciliations, and compliance tasks.
  • Work closely with production, purchase, store, merchandising, and HR teams.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience in garment/textile costing & inventory processes.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP / ERP systems, advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and follow-up skills.

Qualification & Experience

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter (preferred).
  • 4–8 years of experience in Accounts & Finance within the textile/garments manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in cost accounting and factory finance operations is highly preferred.

CTC Range (Optional)

₹4.5 LPA – ₹9 LPA based on experience & expertise.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500, ₹900,000.00 per year
