Job Overview

We are seeking an minimum 3 years experienced and dynamic Area Sales Manager (ASM) to oversee and drive sales operations within the designated region. The ASM will be responsible for managing a team of sales representatives, ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies, and expanding our market share in the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, and able to achieve given target with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:

    Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, market penetration, and growth. Ensure alignment with the overall company objectives and regional market dynamics.

  • Team Leadership & Management:

    Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Executives and Representatives to meet sales goals and drive high performance. Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and ensure continuous development.

  • Market Expansion:

    Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers. Expand the company's footprint in untapped markets and ensure strong relationships with existing clients.

  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting:

    Prepare accurate sales forecasts, analyze sales data, and generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities. Provide actionable insights for improvement.

  • Budget Management:

    Oversee regional sales budgets and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI. Monitor expenditures and work towards reducing costs without compromising sales performance.

  • Brand Promotion & Marketing Support :

    Collaborate with the marketing team to develop regional promotional campaigns and ensure brand visibility. Drive in-store promotions, activations, and events to increase product awareness.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners. Ensure high customer satisfaction and handle escalations or complaints effectively.

  • Compliance & Reporting:

    Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and business transactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of regional market trends, customer needs, and competitors in the food and beverage sector.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Willingness to travel as required.
