Job Overview:

STEM Learning is seeking an experienced and dynamic Factory Manager to oversee the manufacturing operations at our facility in Thane. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, managing a team, and ensuring the factory runs smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Management:

  2. Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing facility.

  3. Plan and organize production schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

  4. Monitor and improve production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

  5. Team Leadership & Management:

  6. Lead and motivate a team of factory workers, engineers, and supervisors.

  7. Ensure proper training and development of staff.

  8. Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  9. Quality Control:

  10. Ensure all manufactured products meet the highest quality standards.

  11. Implement quality assurance procedures and address any non-conformance issues promptly.

  12. Work closely with the quality control team to maintain continuous improvement.

  13. Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

  14. Oversee inventory management, ensuring the availability of raw materials and supplies.

  15. Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.

  16. Manage production schedules to align with inventory levels.

  17. Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  18. Ensure the factory complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  19. Implement safety protocols and foster a safe working environment.

  20. Conduct regular safety audits and provide necessary training.

  21. Budgeting and Cost Control:

  22. Prepare and manage the production budget.

  23. Monitor expenses and identify areas to reduce costs without compromising quality.

  24. Ensure efficient use of resources and equipment.

  25. Maintenance and Equipment Management:

  26. Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained and operational.

  27. Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs.
  28. Work with technical teams to improve machinery efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Experience as a Factory Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and control production costs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Experience in managing a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
