Business Development Manager

Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in target sectors: Pharma, BFSI, and Public. Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitor strategies tailored to India market. Develop and implement client acquisition strategies tailored to specific industry verticals.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities. Establish long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their IT requirements and delivering tailored solutions.
Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including RFPs/RFQs and TOB negotiations. Create and deliver compelling presentations, pitches, and solutions to clients. Ensure proposals align with client needs and organizational capabilities.
Identify opportunities to expand and sub-segments within target industries. Collaborate with marketing teams to design campaigns aimed at increasing market visibility. Represent the organization in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events.
Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure client satisfaction & retention, also manage site visitation, reviews, weekly meeting, and cross-selling opportunities. Address client feedback & resolve conflicts promptly to maintain service standards. Drive revenue targets and ensure consistent year-on-year growth.
Collaborate with internal competency and delivery teams to align service offerings with client requirements. Negotiate and close deals ensuring profitability and long-term sustainability. Leverage data analytics to identify business opportunities and market trends.
Analyse sales data to refine strategies and improve performance metrics. Utilize analytics tools to measure & report on business development outcomes.Foster collaboration between sales, marketing, Competency and delivery teams.15 years of experience in Business Development, preferably within the ITeS or technology industry. Degree in Business Administration, degree in IT will be a plus.
Deep understanding of IT solutions and services relevant to Pharma, BFSI, and Public/Govt sectors. Familiarity with technologies like Cloud Computing, Big Data, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, ERP Solutions, Automation, Integration, Testing, Validation, Software development, Enterprise Software Solutions. Proven track record of achieving business development targets in the IT domain.
Experience working with C-level executives and senior stakeholders. Hands-on experience in crafting and negotiating complex contracts. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking and ability to analyse and respond to market trends. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Proficiency in CRM tools and sales data analysis & analytics.
High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships. Results-oriented with a proactive and resilient attitude. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
